    Relativity Bolsters Creative Advertising Team

    (Beverly Hills, Calif.) August 16, 2012 – Relativity Media announced today that Alyson Jones has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Creative Advertising directly reporting to Relativity’s President, Theatrical Marketing, Terry Curtin. 

    In this role Jones will work alongside Relativity’s recently appointed Executive Vice President, Creative Advertising, Arty Pearson to oversee trailers, television and print campaigns for Relativity’s feature films. She will begin working immediately on campaigns for the studio’s upcoming film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling novel Safe Haven, gritty dramatic thriller currently-titled Out of the Furnace, and comedic actioner Malavita. 

    Most recently Jones was Vice President, Creative Advertising, at Walt Disney Studios where she helped craft advertising campaigns for films such as The Help, Steven Spielberg’s War Horse, Real Steel, DisneyNature Earth and Robert Zemeckis’ Disney’s A Christmas Carol.  Prior to Disney, Jones worked as Director, Creative Advertising, for nearly three years at Sony Pictures where she contributed to campaigns including Talladega Nights, Step Brothers, Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette, Stranger Than Fiction and Across The Universe. From 2002 to 2005 Jones held the position of Vice President, Production, at Alkemi Entertainment.
     
    Pearson joined Relativity in 2011 as a consultant and was appointed to EVP, Creative Advertising in January 2012. He has since developed the creative campaigns for Relativity’s Navy SEAL actioner Act of Valor and the gritty thriller The Raven. He is currently working on the upcoming suspense thriller House at the End of the Street, comedy 21 and Over, jaw-dropping original Movie 43 and high-stakes thriller Paranoia

    Previously, Pearson worked at advertising agency Open Road Entertainment where he produced award-winning campaigns for Ray, Man on Fire, The Pursuit of Happyness, and Ice Age 2. He began his career at Craig Murray Productions, now mOcean, producing campaigns for Toy Story and Toy Story 2, Wild Things, The Vertical Limit and Finding Nemo
